Retreat in Bodh Gaya

Our first on-site meditation retreat and pilgrimage was in Bodh Gaya, the place of Buddha Shakyamuni’s enlightenment. Held from November 5 to 12, 2022, the theme of this retreat was Dependent-related Phenomena and Emptiness.

In the first half of the retreat, we listened to, and contemplated and meditated on dependent-related phenomena and the twelve dependent-related links. In the second half, we meditated on emptiness of persons and emptiness of phenomena to deepen our understanding of the two truths.
